STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The ICCT Colleges Foundation Inc. Library faces the following problems:

General Problem:

Traditionally, library systems are implemented manually. Forms are given to

Librarian and they fill them of using pens. Afterwards, the school administrators

process them manually and compiled on large bulky file cabinet. Indeed, the

manual Library system is very costly, time consuming and tedious.

Specific Problem:

1. Students cannot easily locate book titles and authors needed for reference.

2. After tracking if a specific book is listed in the library, students cannot easily

track if specific book needed is available for use.

3. The librarian needs enough time to track down the full list of borrowed books.

4. The librarian cannot easily track overdue books and unreturned books.

5. The librarian cannot easily give updated and real time inventory count.

6. The librarian cannot easily locate who borrowed specific book, he/she needs

to locate it in his/her borrower’s logbook.
