The Association of Computer Engineering Technology Students will conduct a


Seminar on Computer Networking and Data Transmission at the ASB Room, CECS
Department, Batangas State University ARASOF Nasugbu on October 16, 2010.

The said activity aims to educate BIT – Computer Engineering Technology and BIT
– Electronics about the importance and the benefits of the computer networking in
the industry like telecommunications. In view of this, may we request from your good
office for permission to conduct the said activity. Attached herewith is a copy of the
project plan on Computer Engineering Technology Seminar.

I. INTRODUCTION

Computer network allows sharing of resources and information among


interconnected devices. It is used in facilitating communications, sharing
hardware, sharing files, data, and information and sharing software.

Networking has a special role in the industry that will be further explained in
the seminar. This will also involve the importance and the benefits of
networking for the students.

1. Title of the Project:

Data Transmission and Computer Networking

2. Rationale:

Computer networking or data communication in the industry begins


with the engineers and experts who are knowledgeable about the
theoretical and practical application of these scientific and engineering
disciplines. It continues with the properly trained personnel who
understand the different views of networking.

3. Objectives:

• To define the purpose of data transmission and computer


networking in the industry.
• To define the importance of data transmission and computer
networking in the industry.
• To define the benefits of networking.
• To give knowledge about data transmission and computer
networking.

4. Target Participants:

BIT - Computer Engineering Technology Students


BIT – Electronics
College Faculty Members

5. Safety Measures Involved:

• To check the wirings of the equipment to be used like projector


and Computer Unit is in good condition to prevent wire shortage.
• To prevent the foods to be distributed from spoiling avoid food
poisoning.
