1.) Hello, Moon! By Francesca Simon and Ben Cort

Genre: Picture Book
Appropriate Audience Age Range: 3-5 years old
Summary: This book is about a curious boy who wants to know what the moon can see.
It is difficult for him to fall asleep, so he imagines what the moon can see.
Your Reaction to the Book: I enjoyed this book because it demonstrated a broad
imagination and excitement for knowledge. I could use it in a morning reading circle to
set the tone for the day about learning unfamiliar words. I believe if read correctly with
emphasis, the children would enjoy this book.

2.) My Dad at The Zoo By Coralie Saudo and Kris Di Giacomo

them smiling after a lesson.

3.) The Gingerbread Man by Nancy Nolte

Appropriate Audience Age Range: 2- 5 years old
Summary: This fairytale is an excellent read for all children, it brings makes the
imagination happy to believe there could be a gingerbread man. It also ties into a lesson
to never trust a fox when reading a book; they are always quite sneaky. I could use this
in a classroom around Christmas time when we begin to smell gingerbread and other
scents around Christmas time.

different then what they are now. Gives the children hope for the future.
