Time is flying by and our kids are showing marvelous progress! Please encourage them
to apply their knowledge at home, not only with their homework but showing off their
skills by teaching new words in Spanish to you.

We are working on writing longer sentences and trying to be more descriptive, not using
only colors and shapes. Please remind your children to begin sentences with capital
letters and end with a period. Also, we do not write capital letters in the middle of a
sentence. Little hints to help you help them with homework.

This week we will continue to focus on
decomposing numbers using objects or
drawings and record each decomposition
with drawings or equations.
Social-Science
This week we are going to identify
physical features (mountains, hills,
rivers, lakes, roads, etc)

Reading-Language

Reminders
- It is imperative that you help your child with the
English learning at home, since they will formally
start the regular English classes at school until
second grade.
- We encourage you to let your kids try to read to
you independently. This helps them a lot with their
self-confidence and further performance at
school.
- Remember to encourage your child to work on
iReady and Big Universe.
