Brief Profile

Dr. S.Iniyan is a Professor and former Director in the Institute for Energy Studies,
Department of Mechanical Engineering at Anna University, Chennai. He has
done his undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering and post graduate in I.C.
Engineering, at College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University. He received his
Ph.D. degree in Energy Modelling from Anna University. He has also done his
Post Doctoral Research in Hong Kong University, Hong Kong. His areas of
research include energy planning and renewable energy systems. Dr. Iniyan has
published over 200 papers in the peer-reviewed Journal papers and Conference
proceedings. He has guided 10 PhD scholars and presently guiding 12 PhD
scholars. He has received Active Researcher Award 2011 from Anna University,
Chennai. He had International collaborative projects with Croatia, Australia, Italy
and Israel. Currently, he has collaborative project with Aston University, UK. He
was the convener of the experts committee on the Kudankulam nuclear power
project nominated by the state government of Tamilnadu.
