I The High Priest who was tempted in every way (4:14-16)

1. What does it mean that Jesus has gone through the heavens? Why
should we hold firmly to the faith we profess? (14)

2. What does he do with our weaknesses? (15a) Why can he sympathise


with us? (15b) How is he fundamentally different from us?

3. In the time of need what should we do? (16) What does the ‘throne of
grace’ refer to? What do we receive when we approach him?

II The High priest who has been made perfect (5:1-10)

4. What is the role of the high priest between God and men? (1) What can
he do with those who are ignorant and are going astray? (2a) Why can
he do that? (2b) What should he do for himself? (3)

5. Who can receive the honour of a high priest? (4) How did Jesus take the
glory of becoming a high priest? (5) What glory did God give to Jesus?

7. Even though he was the Son of God, what did he learn? (8) Through his
