Then select a number of the most attractive candidates (i.e. the candidates with
the highest CEF2), in terms of improving power transfer profile of the network
(say another 125 candidates) (call it list L3). Again, this number depends on the
computer facilities available.
Finally, by combining the high-ranked candidates L1, L2 and L3, the final list of
the candidates is formed.

9.6 Numerical Results

To assess the capability of the proposed hybrid approach and the detailed mod-
eling, a 77-bus test system as depicted in Fig. 9.5 is employed. It should be
mentioned, however, that in our test example, we have not considered some of the
objective function terms (Cchn-sub, Csw-sub, Csp-line and Closs).
This is a dual voltage network with the detailed information as outlined in
Appendix J. The general data is provided in Table 9.6.
