constructed in an integrated unit. A 4 µF capacitor is fitted to ensure
reliable starting of the circulation pump.
OUTLET PUMP
The outlet pump consists of a synchronous motor and pump, constructed
in an integrated unit.
INLET VALVE
Depending on model, there are three types of inlet valves:
1. With safety valve: Two solenoids independant from each other or valve
seats are connected to a unit.
2. Single-unit type: A solenoid and valve seat.
3. Softener valve: Two valves in shunt, one for the regeneration of the softe
ner and the other for normal inlet.
HEATING ELEMENT
Heating elements with the following capacities: 1800 W alt. , 2500 W
THERMOSTAT
Different thermostats are mounted, depending on model:
30/70°C Thermostat with two switch-off functions with the temperatures
30°C (reset at 22°C) and 70°C (reset at 62°C) for temperature
stop in pre-wash or drying, respectively.
64153° Thermostat with two switch-off functions with the temperatures
64° C (reset at 56° C) and 53° C (reset at 45° C) for temperature
stop in main wash and last rinse at high, or low temperature,
alternately.
60°C Thermostat with oneswitch-off functions with the temperatures
60°C (reset at 52°C) for temperature stop in main-wash and last
rinse on models without temperature selction.
LEVEL SWITCH
The level switch provides protection against overfilling, interrupting the power
supply to the inlet valve and starting the outlet pump.
OVERFILL SWITCH
A float influences a micro switch which shuts the inlet valve and starts the outlet
pump.
COMBI DISPENSER
The combi doser doses both detergent and rinse aid .
In the doser there is an adjustable volume chamber for setting of the de~ired
amount of rinse aid. On certain models there is a sensor for rinse aid level
mounted on the doser.
MAIN SWITCH
The main switch is a 2-pole switch, interrupting both the phase and neutral
supplies.
ELECTRICAL CORD

Variations occur for different markets.
SOFTNER
On certain models sensor for rinse aid level is mounted on the softner. This
indicates by lack of salt.
FAN
Evacuates the moist air from the machine during the drying phase of the pro-
gram.
The fan system consists of a fan motor which runs a two part impeller. Dry air
is sucked in from the door into one of the impeller halves. A vax motor opens a
valve, and the moist air streams into the other part of the impeller. Dry and moist
air are mixed and led into a channel to the lower part of the door, where it is let
out.

Rinses
Rinse 1 starts by flushing the water softener system for 40-90 seconds,
depending on setting, at the same time as the machine pumps out. This
is then followed by rinses as described in 1) and 2) above.
If hard water (i.e. containing lime) is allowed to dry on the dishes, glasses
etc., insoluble deposits of lime will be left.
Ca(HCO3)2 CaCO3 + CO2 + H2O
Insoluble lime
If the water is softened with salt, sodium carbonate and calcium chloride
are formed. These two salts are water-soluble, and leave no deposits.

Product: DW95 Condensation in air duct Group: 20
Date: 04-10-97 nozzle Number: 81
Reference: N-Å Carlsson ÄO: 4180 Sida: 1(1)
A problem has been encountered in the sense that air from the fan conden-
ses in the air nozzle, and water drips onto the floor.
To reduce condensation a plastic nozzle, Art. No. 8071078-0, has been introduced and
replaces Art. No. 8059887-29 (aluminium) on all models other than integrated/fully integra-
ted models and other models that utilize an aluminium adjustment frame.
The nozzle was fitted as standard to machines manufactured after week 35 1996.
In conjunction with changing to the plastic nozzle, the external opening has been modified
to allow the air nozzle to snap into engagement. The plastic nozzle can also be fitted to
older machines.
In certain cases, machines equipped with a plastic nozzle have also exhibited a tendency
for condensation to form on the plastic nozzle. The nozzle and the air duct of these machi-
nes can be modified, as illustrated in Figures 1 and 2. This provides improved distribution
of the airflow.
Figure 1: Lower part of air duct. Chamfer the Figure 2: Plastic air nozzle. Remove the
outer ends as indicated by the dotted line. plastic edge.

In order to improve the reliability in the level system, the bottom well has been
modified.
1. The pressure chamber has been changed, this leads to modified level switch values.
Note. When installing a new bottom well, the level switches must also be replaced.
The new level switches have article no. 8071024 (for overflow safeguard N1) and article
no. 8071025
(for level-controlled timer operated machines).
When exclusively replacing level switches, the same article no. should be used as
that which was replaced.
Complete Bottom Well with level switch and flexible tubing can be ordered as
follows:
Bottom well level-controlled timer operated machines. Article no. 8801122
Bottom well, others. Article no. 8801123
2. A drainage hole has been introduced to drain any water leakage in a certain direction.
This signifies
that the splash protector, article no. 8070869 (above the micro switch), is excluded.
Note!
The positioning of the level switches has been changed. The overflow safeguard, article no.
8071024, is now always found at the back of the bottom well.

Product: DW950-955 Faults within the softening Group: 20
Date: 95-10 system for DW95 Number: 72
Reference: Göte Härefors ÄO: XXXX Sida: 1(2)
When the water softening system do not work it affects the dish goods. A coating ,primary
on glass and stainless surfaces, raises. The goods can also obtain a taste of salt. These
faults are results of different things and can be measured by following:
3. Fault: The salted water is not pressed down into the resin container. (3: the con-
tainer in the softener where the salted hard water is delimed).
Measure: Make sure that the water flows out through the anti-siphon device outlet
opening (8).This shows through the inlet grill during the regeneration-
sequence (inlet valve 7 is open for 10-60 seconds immediately before
detergent dosage (apply to programme control systems) and immediately
after detergent dosage (apply to electronic controlled systems).
4. Fault: There comes no water from inlet valve 7 during the regeneration-sequence.
Measure: If there is voltage to the valve, exchange the valve. If there is no voltage to the
valve, check the programme/electronic control unit.
5. Fault: The anti-siphon device (9) is not working, there is no water flowing through
the outlet opening when/during inlet by valve 7. Instead the water leaks out
through the air-gap (10) and further into the washing space.
Measure: Exchange the anti-siphon device.
6. See mark 2.
7. Fault: The cheke valve (4: built-in in the resine) is not working. This is a fact when
thesalt-containers water is drained even though the regeneration is working
according to above.
Measure: Mount an extra cheke valve (6). A servicekit can be ordered (art.no. 88 011
04), mounting instructions are included. This is valid for machines produced
before week 35. Constructional changes has been made, to eliminate this
fault, for machines produced after week 35.

Product: DW95 FAILURE ANALYSIS METHOD Group: 20
Date: 23-10-97 DW95.3,.4,.5,.FL Number: 82
Reference: Mats Lilja ÄO: XXXX Sida: 1(1)
When any or several of below control unit components or the conductive pattern (copper
foil on the soldering side) close to these components are damaged most probably the
external component is the cause of failure and should be ohm-measured and in case of
short circuit be exchanged simultaneously with the control unit.
Note!
Once the wax motor has dried out, it is not possible to measure for faults.
Remove the wax motor and look for burn marks. For complete certaitny, replace the wax
motor.
Dishwashers with a display panel show how long time remains for the program to run. This
is calculated on the assumption that the incoming water is at a temperature of 60 °C.
If the machine is connected to a cold water supply, the time display for remaining time will
be incorrect the first time that each program is run. On subsequent runs of the respective
programs, the machine will calculate the time on the basis of how long the program took
on the previous run.
When replacing the control unit in a Type DW 95 dishwasher, it is important to use the
correct upgrade number.
A control unit with a lower upgrade index number can never replace one with a higher
number.
To simplify the handling of control units, we will in future use only three types of control
board. These control boards will be:
Art. No. 8057931 04 for machines of Type DW 95.3, DW 95.4 and DW 95.5.
Art. No. 8057932 04 for integrated machines / thick door Type DW 95.3, DW 95.4 and
DW 95.5.
Art. No. 8070699 04 for fully integrated machines of Type DW 95.FI
The various control units will replace the following Art. Nos.:
When replacing a control unit, ensure that the correct jumpers are cut according to the
following instruction.
·Washing programme cycles changed with regard to number of operations, water levels
and temperatures. See timer diagram 8058482, upgrade index 03 (complete chart
8058483)
USA jumper not cut.
·Changed control for water softener: shortened salt intake and extended final
rinse. Time-controlled fan after the end of the programme (not applicable to rin-
sing and plate heating programme). The fan starts up in the following sequence
for 3 hours: 20 min off 10 min on 20 min off 10 min on ´, and so on. (Switches
