To complete the tasks successfully, you need to write an answer following the guidelines
mentioned in RED

Task 1 (Presentation)

LO1- Understand learning theories and learning styles.

Prepare a presentation to discuss the below topics. Ensure to cover all the guidelines.
Maximum number of slides is 8.

1.1 Compare different learning styles

1.2 Explain the role of the learning curve and importance of transferring learning to the
workplace

1.3 Assess the contribution of learning theories and learning styles when planning and
designing a learning event

Task 2 (Word Count 3000)

LO2- Be able to plan and design training and development.

LO3- Be able to evaluate a training event.

You are the training manager of your organization. You are now heading a project to
implement *A Sales Skills training for your Sales staff in your organization. Prepare a
report on how you plan to design and implement this training event using a systematic
approach to training. Carry out an evaluation of this training event and review the success
of the event.
2.1 Compare the training needs for staff at different levels in an organization

2.2 Assess the advantages and disadvantages of training methods used in an organization

2.3 Use a systematic approach to plan training and development for a training event

3.1 Prepare an evaluation using suitable techniques

3.2 Carry out an evaluation of a training event

Continuation of Task 2:
Write a report which examines the role of *government in influencing the training and
development of employees within public and private sector organizations.

4.1 Explain the role of government in training, development and lifelong learning

4.2 Explain how the development of the competency movement has impacted on the public and
private sectors

4.3 Assess how contemporary training initiatives introduced by the UK government contribute to
human resources development for an organization.

Guidelines
1. Discuss some of the practices and measures that have been introduced by the
government, whether it was in the UK, UAE or in your home country, to produce or
maintain an effective workforce. Limit your discussion to training and development and
lifelong learning practices.

2. In your own words, explain how the competency movement has affected the private and
public sectors.

3. The UK government has initiated contemporary training initiatives to enhance the


knowledge and skills of the work force. Discuss those initiatives and comment on how
you think those initiatives could contribute to the human resource development of an
organization.
