You Are Invited to Join the NCS Band

Things to Know about NCS Band!

• You will meet during sixth grade elective time. It will not
conflict with athletic practices.

• You can only join Band your sixth grade year.

• You can choose to play Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone

Trumpet, Trombone or Percussion.

• You will need to rent or buy an instrument. Music and

Arts and Big Note are two companies that we work with
to help students gain instruments.
Leadership
• Band is a great place to
develop leadership skills.

• In 7-12 grade we have NCS

students who audition for All
District and All State Bands.
These opportunities help to
strengthen your leadership
skills.
Performances
• We perform two concerts; a
Winter Concert and a Spring
Concert.

• We also perform all over

campus for visitors, Winter
Sing Along, Pep Band,
Mudcats Games and Award
Ceremonies.

• NCS Concert Band will

perform for NCS Graduation.
Summer Camp
• You are also invited to a
Johnston County Summer
Camp if you sign up for Sixth
Grade Band.

• The Summer Camp in June, for

4 days from 8:30-11:30 at
Cleveland High School.

• It is only $100 and that

includes a t-shirt.

• Plus Band Camp students will

perform in a small Concert the
last day of camp.

• Extra: Go to the Summer Middle School Band Camp in

June. ($100).
