Learning Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, students will become familiar with the California State
University Application in order to be able to complete it on their own.

By the end of this lesson, students will know what to do in case of special
circumstances while completing the California State University Application.
CSU Apply Checklist
❏ Create account on CSU Apply
❏ Check Eligibility Index for Cal States (ask for assistance, if needed)
❏ Unofficial transcripts (make sure with your counselor)
❏ Test scores (SAT, ACT, AP or IB) Report test results so far as well as any
future test dates.
❏ Determine if eligible for EOP and submit application along with CSU
Application (have 2 recommenders and their information)
❏ Have parent’s income information and citizenship status
❏ Your Social Security number, if you have one.
❏ Your citizenship status
❏ A method of payment (in case not eligible for fee waiver)You can pay the
application fee by credit card.
Eligibility Index
U.S. Citizens or CA Permanent Residents:

● A GPA of 3.00 and above qualifies for any score in SAT


● A GPA of 3.00 and above qualifies for any score in ACT

*GPA below 2.0 does not qualify for admission

Non- residents:

● A GPA of 3.61 and above qualifies for any score in SAT


● A GPA of 3.61 and above qualifies for any score in ACT

*GPA below 2.45 does not qualify for admission
