Hawai`i Meth Project Aug 2010 – Feb 2016

 Participated in awareness/advocacy events in the community and on school campuses, sharing the
“Not Even Once” message through one on one conversation, games, handouts and other giveaways;
Coordinated volunteers for events as needed, recruiting volunteers, overseeing scheduling of shifts,
and assigning responsibilities/tasks for events; Presented “classroom lesson” to varying classes,
ranging from groups of 30 students to over 100 students at one time, sharing statistics, risks, and
other facts relating to the danger of the drug, as well as information on how students could get
involved.
 Teen Advisory Council member from July 2013 – July 2014; working closely with the staff to create
and implement new community outreach efforts through events and social media campaigns; Served
as alumni mentor to the 2014-2015, and 2015-2016 Teen Advisory Councils, assisting in their
training and working with them on events throughout their term on TAC.

 Co-taught a lab section of Women’s Studies 151 (entry level course for the Women’s studies
department)
 Prepared lesson plans for weekly class sessions, including audiovisual resources, and handouts.
 Responsible for communicating deadlines and class expectations with students, and maintaining
consistent communication with Professor Bovard and other TAs regarding concerns about class
content, grades, and expectations
 Responsible for grading homework and class participation of students in my lab section.
Resident Assistant Aug. 2015-Present
Hale Aloha Mokihana, Hale Wainani, Residential Life Unit, UH Mānoa Honolulu, HI
 Initiate, plan and implement programs with the floor, hall or area to address the needs and concerns
of the residents and to encourage their personal, social, professional and academic development;
Motivate residents to engage in campus activities and set academic goals.
 Serve as a member of the on-call team tasked with responding to student medical emergencies, crisis
management, and policy violations for an on-campus population of 250+ students.
 Provide guidance to students on a variety of issues through informal counseling and campus referrals;
Conduct multiple roommate mediations to resolve social, developmental and emotional issues.
 Serve as a member of the Student Staff Training committee, responsible for meeting weekly to plan
and implement Fall and Spring RA Trainings, as well as monthly in-services.
 Serve as a member of the Student Staff Advisory, responsible for monthly meetings to discuss
opinions and concerns of the RA staff at large.
