7.1 Transport
Shock-free in its original carton, do not drop, handle carefully.
7.2 Lagerung
Store in a dry place in its original packaging
7.3 Disposal
Ensure environmentally friendly disposal of all components according to the legal
regulations.
WARNING
The electrical installation must be carried out by qualified personnel!
All connections and wiring must be disconnected from the power supply.
Secure the connections against unauthorised activation.

Insert the cable gland into the terminal box and tighten it by means of a counter nut
(see picture).
Tightening torque: metal cable gland 3 Nm, plastic cable gland 2 Nm
Tighten the cable gland and the pressure screw of the cable gland after installation.
Use a certified stopping plug to seal the opening that is not used.
After installation, check the tightness of the cable gland (IP66).

Insert the wire guard into the respective slots (1) of the light fitting.
Tighten the screws (2).
The wire guard is mounted.

Attach the external reflector to the light fitting as shown on the drawing.
Insert the provided screws (1) and tighten them.
The external reflector is mounted.

Let the housing, the protective glass and the lamp cool down for approx.
15 min before touching them.
To facilitate the removal, the glass fixing ring is provided with holes
(d 10.5 mm) where a lever can be mounted to intensify the leverage.

Tighten the protective glass using the rotary actuator until the tightness can be
guaranteed and the thread gap (A) is ( 0.3 mm for size 1 and ( 0.5 mm for size 3.
Tighten the mounting screw.
Replacement of the lamp is completed.

12 Maintenance

Explosion protection is not guaranteed any longer.

Repairs are only to be carried out by the manufacturer.

12.1 Regular Maintenance Work
Consult the relevant national regulations (e.g. IEC/EN 60079-17) to determine the type
and extent of inspections.
Plan the intervals so that any defects in the equipment which may be anticipated are
promptly detected.
12.2 Cleaning
WARNING
Do not clean the corroded gap using abrasives or a steel brush!
Risk of severe injuries; explosion protection is not guaranteed any longer.
The manufacturer’s liability and warranty expire.
Use chemical agents for cleaning, such as reducing oils of ESSO, type
Vassol, or similar.
Flameproof gap
X Clean the flameproof gap regularly with an acid-free grease which is compatible with
aluminium.
X Corrosion prevention by means of a coat of paint is forbidden.
WARNING
Use only original R. STAHL accessories and spare parts.
