To Whom It May Concern.

I would like to recommend Samuel Canedo to your program. I have known Samuel since
he was at Stephen White Middle School, the younger brother of my student, Mercy
Canedo. He remains the polite and helpful person I saw then.. He takes responsibilities
seriously, whether they are his assignments for school, his obligation for extra-curricular
activities or his place in society and he always does a job in which he can take pride. I
have watched Sam grow as both a student and as a young man. When I first met him, he
was a ‘behind the scenes’ student, .Sam has become a leader in classroom activities,
volunteering to work on projects and to do the extra project.

Sam looked for his spot at CHS and found it on the drum line in tenth grade. He
continued the drum line into the eleventh where he transitioned into Color Guard. He is
graduating as a proud member of that team.

People are important to Sam. Although he was my student only as a tenth grade Algebra
II student, he comes by my room regularly just to ‘check in’ and say hello.

Whatever your decision, please accept my sincere thanks for your time and consideration
of my request.
