Reading Camp, This organization is a nonprofit, volunteer staffed organization that provides free, weeklong overnight camps and
literacy enrichment experiences across the Midwest and Central United States. Programs are hosted at various community sites and
each program serves approximately thirty 3rd and 4th grade children. Children must be at least a grade behind in school to attend.
 Create and implement a daily programming schedule for overnight camp in collaboration with community partners, volunteers,
and the Reading Camp executive office for 40 children.
 Respond to and support campers and volunteers during crisis events while maintaining contact with families and host site.
 Facilitate a two day training for a volunteer staff of approximately 30 people, ages 16-80, from across 13 states.
 Plan logistics, activities, and special guests from the local communities to encourage community partnership.
 Supervise camp staff members during the week of camp including counselors, teachers, and other support staff.
 Attend monthly phone meetings with executive office to discuss program development and volunteer and camper recruitment.
 Implement assessments during the week for camp for program improvement and maintaining grant based funding.
