What is phage

Phages are natural micro organisms, their function is to maintain balance of bacteria on earth.

Phages are natural enemies of bacteria, they kill only their host microbe. Phage finds it’s host bacteria
and attaches to the surface, infects DNA in it, phage DNA replicates and phage proteins are made, new
phage particles are assembled, the cell lyses releasing the newly made phages.

How safe are bacteriophages ?


Phages have an impact only on cost bacteria. Specifically selected phages kill only pathogenic bacteria, so
they are not harmful for human cells or beneficial bacteria.
