What inspired Shakespeare to become a playwright?
Shakespeare was inspired to become a playwright when Queen Elizabeth came to visit a neighboring town. She
loved the arts so Shakespeare was inspired by the many plays that were going on.
What is ironic about King Henry the VIII ignoring Queen Elizabeth because she was female?
It is ironic because King Henry the VIII ignored Elizabeth because he wanted a strong male heir, but he died before he
realized that he did produce the greatest ruler that Britain ever had.
Why is Shakespeare so highly regarded (why do we study him in high school, college, etc)?
He is the greatest writer in the English language. He is also the most quoted and he introduced more words than all
writers of his time combined.
