Proposal

BBC Radio 4 is a radio station owned and operated by the British

Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). It broadcasts a wide variety of spoken-word
programmes including news, drama, comedy, science and history. I will be
producing a radio drama for my final major project which I will submit to the
BBC Radio 4 commissioning website.

I found the BBC by watching television

at first. Just after eating dinner the
BBC 1 news would come on. From this
I found out that the BBC have a radio
station and it just took a little playing
with the radio in my car to find BBC
Radio 4. I then looked up the radio
station online and found the BBC
Radio 4 Commissioning. I decided this
is what I will submit my FMP to.

The BBC is quite open as to what I will need to create for them. There are
multiple different styles of content that I could choose to produce but I’ve
decided to create a drama of a famous children’s book. The deadline for this
work is the 29th of May; my FMP deadline is the 21st of May so I will already be
long finished before the deadline for the BBC.

There are no extra rules or requirements stated in the commissioning brief that
is provided.
