    To whomever it may concern:

    My name is Clare Devlin, and I am seeking an elementary teaching position in your district.

    I am a great educator because I create a positive learning environment​ ​in the classroom by
    emphasizing a growth mindset and implementing positive behavior interventions and supports.
    My goal as a teacher is to cultivate lifelong learners.

    My​ ​student centered​ ​teaching style also makes me a great educator as I seek to truly engage
    students in their learning. I design and conduct project-based lessons aligned with
    common-core and next generation science standards. Also, I have experience teaching
    hands-on science and STEM lessons. Furthermore, I have trained students to engage in
    academic discourse, inquiry, and critical thinking across all subjects.

    My use of technology in the classroom to enhance students learning is another reason I am a


    great educator. I have implemented Google resources (Classroom, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Maps)
    and other technology (Powtoon, Kahoot!, Hour of Code, Glogster, EPIC, Quizlet, Lino, Edmodo,
    Nearpod, voice/video recordings) in various lessons in order to meaningfully engage students in
    their learning.

    I am also a great educator because I am passionate about meeting the learning needs of my
    students. I create formative assessments​ ​in order to monitor the progress of my students and
    improve my teaching practices. Also, I have differentiated instruction, scaffolded academic
    language, and conducted interventions in math and reading. Furthermore, I am constantly
    looking for ways to improve my teaching practice by seeking feedback from others.

    My ability to effectively​ ​communicate with others also helps me be a great educator. I use my
    communication skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues in
    various situations on a daily basis. In general, I enjoy building positive relationships and
    collaborating with colleagues.

    Overall, I am dedicated to student learning and will work hard to make sure my students receive
    a quality education. Thank you for considering me for an elementary teaching position in your
