CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION AND ITS RATIONALE

People as defined, is the number of living things living together at

the same place. Population defined a country. Philippines is a third world coun
try and increase in population is a serious problem that is need to be solved. Th
at’s why researches and case studies are conducted to determine if the number
of population of the country will double as the year doubles also.

Philippines is one of the worlds largest archipelago nation having 7,107

islands. Population as defined is the number of living things living together at
the same place. A population is all the organisms of the same group or species,
which live in a particular geographical area, and have the capability of
interbreeding. Philippines is a third world country and the increase in
population is a serious problem that is need to be solved. That’s why different
researches and case studies are conducted to determine if the number of
population of the country will double as the year double also.

The researche conducts this research study to find out if there is a relationship
between the number of years and the countrys population.

CHAPTER II

OBJECTIVES/ Statement of the Problem

A problem statement is a clear concise description of the issue(s) that

need(s) to be addressed by a problem solving team. It is used to center and
focus the team at the beginning keep the team on track during the effort, and is
used to validate that the effort delivered an outcome that solves the problem
statement

The goal of this research study is to find out if there is a

relationship between the numbers of years and the countrys population
specifically; it sought to answer the folloeing questions.

1.) Does the number of population doubles as the year doubles also?
2.) Does the number of population constantly increase as the year come?
3.) is there any significant relationship between population and the
calendar year?

CHAPTER III

PROCEDURE

1. Choose a region in the Philippines from where you are going to

choose you population
- I choose Region X
2. Choose a specific place in that region
- I choose Iligan City
3. List down the calendar year and the number of population each year
4. Get the variables needed to formulate or to fill the equation y= a t bx
5. Once you get the valuesof a and b substitute the equivalent values of
x for 2020, 2025 and 2030 to find y or the future population

Find A

a =𝟏𝟔𝟔𝟏𝟖𝟑. 𝟑 − 210.6112102(𝟔𝟕. 𝟐𝟕) = 152015.4839

Substitute A and B to equation Y= a + bx

For year 2020 x is 117

Y=152015.4839 +210.6112102 (117)

= 176656.9955

For year 2025 x is 122

Y=152015.4839 +210.6112102 (122)

= 177710.0515

For year 2030x is 127

Y=152015.4839 +210.6112102 (127)

CHAPTER VI

CONCLUSION

Therefore the population in year 2020 which is 176656.9955 is less than the
population in the year of 2015 which is 342612. But in year 2025 the
population is 177710.0515 which is greater than the population in year 2015
and 2020.The population in year 2030 which is 178763.1076 which is greater
than in the population in 2015, 2020, and 2025. Which is in year 2020 the
population is decreasing but when the year 2025 to 2030 comes the population
is increasing faster.
