David Gilley and Stephanie Watkins 10/24/16 Marijuana Varieties For Green Medicine Marijuana Dispensary
10/24/16
The catalog will be utilized to search for varieties of marijuana to cultivate for their
dispensary based upon customer demand and in order to diversify their stock of
smokable marijuana. The database will be available for use by employees of the
dispensary and can be shared with vendors such as growers and seed merchants. It will
allow for Green Medicine employees to easily transmit information and orders to its
suppliers. Additionally, the database will allow the dispensary to carry marijuana strains
that appeal both to medical users as well as recreational users based on the strains
cannabinoid combination.
A variety of strains of smokable marijuana will populate the database, each with a color
picture. It includes the strain’s name and whether the smokable product is the plant’s
flower (bud), hashish, or extract. Other physical and intellectual aspects will include
color photographs of each item. It will include the name of each item, strain (species),
cannabinoid make-up, medicinal quality, psychoactive effect, flavor, and scent. The
grower of the strain, if it is a hybrid, and if so what is its parentage, and its country of
origin will be available.
1200 varieties will be featured within the online database. It is predicted a number of
states will legalize recreational and medical use of marijuana in 2016. It is commonly
believed that marijuana prohibition is poised to be abolished eventually in most states.
Therefore the catalog’s content will grow rapidly as more people create hybrid breeds of
marijuana based upon its medical and recreational benefits. More breeders will have the
freedom to breed for potency, taste, and smell in the same way the wine and craft beer
industry have developed many kinds of products for a multitude of consumer
preferences.
