Abstract

Curriculum theory is at the heart of education. Curriculum that is well-designed, relevant and
engaging motivates students to take risks and build conceptual understanding that can be
applied in life. To create new realities in any field, visioning is important. Curriculum
theorizing is an indispensable tool in creating this new reality. Curriculum theorizing is a
process and its product is the curriculum theory. Curriculum Theorizers and Their Approaches
are put into three main categories which are prescriptive theorizers, descriptive theorizers and
the critical exploratory theorizers. Visioning as an aspect of curriculum theorization and
process is reflected in the group of critical exploratory theorizers ' specifically postmodern
theorizers.
