1) Don’t rush! Speak at normal speed.

2) Do not remain silent: use conversation fillers. They will give you thinking time and help you
sound natural

3) Practise specific sounds that are difficult for you.

4) Prepare personal information in advance.

5) Try to use a wide range of structures.

6) In Part 2, make sure you compare the pictures and answer the specific question.

7) Don’t worry about the time. The examiner will encourage you to go on speaking or will tell you
when time is complete.

8) In Part 3, ask your partner for his/her opinion.

9) In Part 3, talk to your partner, not to the examiner.

10) Don’t correct your partner’s mistakes,

11) In Part 4, If you don’t have a strong opinion on a topic, you can change it to another subject.

12) Use body language to help you communicate. It’s important to make eye contact and smile.
