simplified fraction.
3. Two gambling dice with twelve sides are rolled. One is red and one is white.
What is the probability of rolling a 10 or a 12? Show your work and answer
as a simplified fraction.

4. A mutant plant that is tall and red is mated with one that that is short and
pink. The tall plant has genotype Tt. In these plants T (Tall) is dominant
over t (short), and R is co-dominant with r, such that TT and Tt are both
TALL. RR is RED, Rr is pink and rr is white.

If 64 seedlings grow up, what will they look like and how many each will
there be according to their appearance?

5. The third season sports for boys at ISMHS are Athletics, Badminton, Softball,
and Golf.

For Athletics, 35 boys try out, but 14 are chosen.


For Badminton, 17 try out but only 7 are chosen.
For Softball, 18 try out, but only 10 are chosen.
For Golf, 13 try out, but only 4 are chosen.

How many ways are there to choose a final list of ISMHS boys to represent the
school for third season?

6. The 8th Grade teacher awards are Funniest, Best Socks, Funniest Accent, Best
Advice Giver, and Most Likely to be a Back-Up Dancer, and Most Likely to

another (big sigh………. )
