It is a country of the United Kingdom located on the north of the Great Britain. Its capital
is Edinburgh.

1. FLAG: St Andrew was a fisherman who explained God’s message in Greece and
Russia and, because of that, Romans crucified him on an X shaped cross, now
known as the cross of Saint Andrew. That’s the reason why the flag is a white
cross on a blue background. The St Andrew’s day is the 30th of November and
it is a bank holiday in Scotland.

WALES
It is a country of the United Kingdom located on the west of the Great Britain. Its capital
is Cardiff.

1. FLAG: Dragon of Cadwallader, it is a red dragon on a green and white


background. There is a legend that tells that there was a fight between a red and
a withe dragon, and the second one, which represented Wales, won. It is the
official welsh flag since a Queen command in 1959.

Saint David, known as David the Waterman due to the bread-and-water regime of Celtic
Monks, is the patron Saint of Wales. He was born on the fifth century and died on the 1st
of March. Welsh people celebrate the St David’s Day by wearing national emblems such
as the daffodil or the leek. However, it is not a bank holiday.

It is located o0n the west of the British Isles, separated from Great Britain to its east by
the Irish Sea. The capital of Ireland is Dublin.

St Patrick, who took Christianity to Ireland, is its patron saint. He was a british missionary
who escaped from pirates after having spent six years as a slave. He is famous for driving
the snakes from Ireland. His day is the 17th of March; it is a bank holiday and people
celebrate it by wearing shamrocks.
