PACIENTES Y MÉTODOS
Seleccionamos al azar 60 pacientes, remitidos al laboratorio de Neurofisio-
logía Clínica con el diagnóstico clínico de STC, 51 mujeres y 9 hombres,
con edades comprendidas entre 21 y 82 años (media: 52,25 años).
En todos los casos el síntoma predominante y con el que se inició el cua-
dro fueron las parestesias de predominio nocturno. En 19, además, había
dolor, en 11 pérdida de habilidad o fuerza y en 4 se objetivó amiotrofia. De
