SWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing
It was a literacy lesson and they take a new sound /r/.

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for? To teach the student new sound in literacy.
Where did the lesson take place? the lesson it was at the end of the day in Sunday.
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? teaching the students new words and new sound
What did the students do? The students were well answering but because it was the last class they mess
behave and they want to go home.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did? My MST tach this technique for the
students so they get use to it and they understand the lesson in this way.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding? Some of the students already
know the letters the high-level students but the low and medium level they had some difficulty to know the
shape of the letter and know some words with the sound.
How well did you engage the students?
The students understand the lesson but I need to teach them another lesson to let all the students
understand well the lesson.

Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

The lesson was understandable and the students enjoy the lesson so much and the activates too. Since it
was the first class of the sound some students weren’t engaging and answering but I tried with them to
assess them. Overall, the lesson succeeded

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
The only thing my MST and my MCT told me that I didn’t wait for the student enough to let them answer
but over all the lesson is went well. So next time I will give the students more time to let them answer and
thing about 10 to 15 second.
What are the implications for your professional practice?
The classroom management went well and my voice was too clear for the students.
