CAREER OBJECTIVE
I am a recent graduate from Loras College with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Sports Management.
I have worked in various roles in the Athletic Department at Loras College and I am currently
working as the Program Coordinator for Competition at Special Olympics Colorado. I am actively
seeking a role in college athletics in game day operations.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Program Coordinator for Competition May 2017-Present
Special Olympics Colorado, Englewood, CO
 Assist in the organization and planning of Special Olympics events, including athlete registration,
bracket formation, sponsorships, facility procurement, venue logistics, volunteer coordination,
event day operations, and selection and training of referees.
 Assist in all aspects of events in 20 different sports that consist of over 400 teams and 21,000
athletes and coaches.
 Coordinate program related policies, procedures and coach handbooks for all of the sports
offered through Special Olympics, CO.
 Procure venues and facilities for the various sporting events looking at capacity, safety and
security of the venue, ADA regulations, and the flow of the facility to ensure that it can
accommodate all of the various programs offered at the event.

Intern February 2016 - May 2016


Loras College Equipment Room, Dubuque, IA
 Responsible for the equipment of all 21 collegiate sports and over $1million worth of equipment.
 Game manager for basketball, wrestling, and volleyball. Responsible for event set-up,
accommodations for visiting team and referees, cash control, student employees, and crowd
management.
 Supervised and scheduled five student workers.
 Organized the equipment room for better efficiency, inventory, checking out & checking in
equipment.
 Assisted in the selection process for next semester's interns.
 Laundry for sports teams, stain removal of baseball uniforms.
 150 hours worked while attending school fulltime.

Intern May 2015 - August 2015


Special Olympics Colorado, Englewood, CO
 Responsible for organizing Special Olympics Colorado Summer Classic Games, the 2nd largest
event for Special Olympics Colorado, with 700 athletes, 300 volunteers, 3 new venues involving
5 sports: bicycling, bocce, golf, tennis and softball. This included everything from athlete
registration, bracket formation, sponsorships, venue logistics and volunteer co-ordination.
 Co-organized the Special Olympics Colorado regional golf tournament for Rocky Mountain
region.
 Coordinated clinics for the Special Olympics Colorado athletes in soccer, basketball, and baseball
with the professional sports teams from the Denver area
 Facilitated four golf clinics for Special Olympics athletes and partners.

Football Operations Assistant August 2013 - May 2017


Loras College, Dubuque, IA
 Responsible for the set-up and breakdown for daily practices and home games.
 Responsible for packing all equipment, organizing food and drink, setting up and breaking
down locker room for away games for a 75 player roster.
 Assist coaches and players in set-up and execution of various drills.
 Properly fit and maintain all equipment including the storage, cleaning and maintenance to
ensure players safety.
 Maintain accurate inventory.
 Process laundry of all uniforms.
 Supervise and train 12 assistant student managers for the duties of filming, ball spotting, pre-
game/practice set-up and scoring during scrimmages.
