Demand

The proponents conducted a survey in its target market, Dagupan City, Pangasinan last

March 3-5, 2018. A total of 106 respondents from Dagupan City were asked about their familiarity

with bottled fish products, their willingness to buy bottled roundscad and the amount they are

willing to pay for the product.

they preferred the more traditional way of cooking and preparing roundscad. 49 of the

respondents (47%) are willing to pay at prices ranging from P90-P100 for a 220-gram bottle of

roundscad, 38 respondents (36%) are willing to pay around P101-P110, 12 respondents (11%)

were willing to pay P111-P120 and 7 respondents said that they we’re willing to pay more than

P120 for a bottle of roundscad. On average the respondents said that they can consume around

205 bottles of roundscad a week.
