What happens during the actual event?

instruction. During our Dance
Marathon our goal is for you to
stand for the whole 8 hours of
the event.. It may sound like a
lot, but think of it as you are
standing for the kids in the hos-
pital who can’t. It’s very inspir-
ing. There is music playing the
whole time so you are encour-
aged to dance along with friends
have a party! We also have fun
games and activities during the
event! We provide food and
drinks thanks to our wonderful
sponsors. You get to meet
some of the kids from the hos-
pital and hear their inspiring
heart-warming stories, and real-
ly get a feeling for why you are
there and what an impact you’re
making.

How to register and fundraise?

If you are looking to sign
up to be a participant at
the Dance Marathon all
you need to is sign up to
our Donor Drive account.
You can be a volunteer and
help up with set up and
tear down the day of the
event. Or as a dancer! The
dancer fee is usually $10
but we offer special offers
sometimes so keep your
eyes peeled. Once you
create your account on
Donor Drive you are
ready to start fundraising!
We suggest you set up a
goal from $100-200. The
start sending the link
around to all your family
and friends and tell them
about the event! All you
really need to say when
asking for donations is that
it is for ASU’s Dance Mara-
thon and that 100% of the
donations go to Phoenix
Children’s Hospital! The
sooner you sign up the
longer you can donate so
hurry up. Just remember
every dollar counts. I sug-
gest putting your link on

book, twitter and all the
social media you can.

My story
I am new to the Dance Mara-
thon team but have loved every
minute of it. I joined in the be-
ginning of my first semester
here at ASU in September and
the actual Dance Marathon was
in November so I had to get
right into things. I had heard
Penn States Dance Marathon
“Thon” because it is a huge
event that I think the entire
east coast knows about. This
was going to ASU’s 4th time
hosting so it wasn’t a very big
