Bethany Wappler is due to release her new EP, Battles, on 27th April 2018, self-
released. After her first EP Moments was released in October last year, Bethany
created a hunger for more. Battles, opens up your mind to the emotional struggles
and the ‘battles’ that many of us come across, this is close to Bethany’s heart, which
is why the EP is as real and emotional as it is.

Acoustic Folk, is the best way to describe Battles. Bethany is a fan of all genres,
however, acoustic folk stuck out to her as she felt it came from a personal level. This
helped Bethany as she was not very good at communicating her emotions from a
young age and when she started writing acoustic folk music there was a shift in her
confidence. Writing was an outlet for Bethany and this is why Battles is so raw and
emotional.

To write Battles, Bethany looked deeply into the creative processes and techniques
used heavily in acoustic folk music, she then began piecing them together and there
was Battles. Although the sound of the EP began as a college project, Bethany states
the lyrics are 100% personal and mean a lot to her.

Bethany’s music an emotional acoustic sanctuary with strong lyrics which tug on your
heart strings. Bethany has been compared to big stars like Birdy and Gabrielle Aplin.
This is just the beginning of Bethany Wappler and she is definitely going to doing big
things in the next few years.
