To whom it may concern,

I am writing in response to the recent graduate nurse position posted at your
facility. As you will see in my attached resume, I will graduate on May 5, 2018, from
Jackson College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science – Nursing. I am on
course to graduate with honors, and have earned a 90% or higher in all courses
within the nursing program. The Recognition in Learning awards, as well as the
Board of Nursing Scholarship, that are listed in my resume, were earned by being
hand selected for these honors by my nursing professors. I am confident my
personal traits that helped earn these honors, are ones that will have a profound,
and positive effect on my future career as a registered nurse. Traits such as my
critical thinking, love of knowledge and education, empathy, willingness to assist
others, compassion, collaboration, intelligence, leadership, and attentiveness to
detail.

I am very interested in critical care nursing, and am currently in the process of

completing 67.5 hours on the critical care unit at Henry Ford Allegiance Health
hospital, one on one with a nurse preceptor. Due to living in Jackson my whole life,
as well as raising a family here, a grand ambition of mine is to use my knowledge,
and skills, to promote the betterment of our community. I believe that becoming a
part of your facility’s care team, through the graduate nurse program, will fulfill
this dream of mine. I sincerely believe that the therapeutic relationships I build
with my patients, as well as the care I give, will have a positive effect on the health
and wellness of my patients, their families, and our community.

I wholeheartedly thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to
an interview where we can discuss my qualities as a healthcare professional, and
how I can contribute my qualities to your facility.

Sincerely,

Rita Alcaraz
