Dear Jonathan Glover,

I am excited to invite you as a special guest to a local MDA fundraiser! Local

residents, who are members of the Spokane Muscular Dystrophy Association
community, will be hosting an event to raise money for our local MDA chapter. The
event will take place on April 15, 2017 at the Central YMCA location located at 930 N
Monroe. The hours will be from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

The event will feature traditional carnival games that families of all ages can
participate in. Entry to the MDA Carnival is $5 for adults and $2 for children. Game
tickets can be purchased inside for $5 to $15. This event is open to all members of
the Spokane and Spokane Valley public.

During this event there will be volunteers providing information about

muscular dystrophy and MDA’s mission. There will be tables to learn about MDA
volunteer opportunities, as well as sign up sheets to become a part of the email
mailing list. The mayor of Spokane, along with several of his staff, will be
volunteering from 3-4:30pm.

Event participants will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a Nike gift
basket or a new MacBook Pro computer, and can exchange their game tickets for
snacks and small prizes.

Currently, $210,332 has been raised nationwide through MDA’s “Your Way
for MDA” campaign, which lets community members create their own fundraisers.
The leader and organizer of this fundraiser, Ashley Hopkins and her family, hope to
raise several thousand dollars.
