WHAT IS
PASSIVE VOIC E ?

The passive writing


voice occurs when
something that is ordinarily
“done by” the subject of a
sentence is “done by”
the object of a sentence.
“ The passive voice is used to show interest
in the person or object that experiences an
action rather than the person or object that
performs the action. In other words, the
most important thing or person becomes
the subject of the sentence.”

that can be transformed
into passive voice, are
active sentences which
containing transitive

while using the passive voice, we use the
preposition by

Forming the
passive voice

The passive voice in English is composed of two


elements: the appropriate form of the verb 'tobe' G
past participle

in generalthe passive voice form is divided into 4 parts :


- Present passive
- Past Passive
- Future Passive
