English Language Proficiency Course

Applications are invited from students of University of Delhi for a 4-month English Language
Proficiency Course (BASIC LEVEL). The course is being conducted under the auspices of
Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL), University of Delhi.

Course Objectives:
The course will give students practice in using English in a wide variety of contexts relevant to
work, study and social activities. It will specifically help students to

 Understand and respond to spoken language

 Learn how to speak fluently and use appropriate expressions
 Read and comprehend different kinds of texts for different purposes
 Write coherently and effectively in formal and informal contexts.

Duration Early August to December 2010, 2 hours, three days a

week in the afternoon with a total of 100 hours including
testing.
Eligibility This course is open only to the students of University of Delhi,
currently enrolled in undergraduate, post-graduate or research
programmes.

Course Fee Students admitted to the Course will have to pay Rs. 3000/-
(Rupees Three thousand only) in cash to the Administrative
Coordinator, Mr. Yashwant Singh Chauhan (Room No.13),
DELHI COLLEGE OF ARTS AND COMMERCE.
