The document discusses planning projects and activities. It covers defining project topics, considering skills like organization, leadership, negotiation and communication when planning, and using Critical Path Method (CPM) to determine logical project steps and sequences and minimum time needed. CPM also helps establish a timescale and determine slack time or delays. Key resources must be allocated for projects.

1. What sort of projects are you sometimes required to plan?
The success or failure of a university project depends on the planning and programming of the activities necessary to achieve the objectives. For example, when carrying out a technological development project, we should be interested in improving knowledge applications by generating useful products or services, this implies new procedures and resources to improve a process or production of a service. 2. How do you plan a project? The first thing I do is define the topic in which I'm going to work. If this issue is assigned to me, I make sure to follow the instructions so as not to take further surprises. On the other hand, if I have the opportunity to choose, I choose a topic that is not too broad. In this way, I make sure not to confront large amounts of information, which will allow me to explore the chosen topic more in depth. 3. Do you consider yourself to be a good planner? Actually I strive to be a good planner, I use the tools that are within my reach, in order to manage and organize all the resources and achieve a good project. 4. What skills are required when planning a project? I believe that the main skills to plan a project are: • Organization: to carry out a project we must plan and gather all the information in an organized way. • Leadership: Leadership is a skill that is characterized by inspiring others a series of values and team decision making. • Negotiation: An average position must be maintained that gets the support of all the parties involved in the project. • Communication: Communication allows us to function correctly. • Global vision: This ability allows us to seek support, defend our project and develop it successfully.
Activity 2
1. The letters CPM stand for:
Critical planning method
2. CPM is used to determine:
The CPM is used to determine the steps and logical sequences of a project. It also helps us determine the minimum time we will need to complete the project.
2. Construct f b. a timescale for a project 3. Add up d c. a delay 4. Establish b d. the total number of weeks 5. Allocate a e. a logical sequence 6. Causes c f. a diagram
