I am writing to you in regards to Dakota Melvin, a student at our technical high school, who is applying for
admission to your university. I am the Sustainable Architecture Department Head at Windham Technical High
School. I have gotten to know Dakota over the past three and a half years as a student in our program.

The best way to describe Dakota is conscientious, hardworking and responsible. Dakota always wants to do
his very best and will not rest until he does so. He has an outstanding work ethic and always gives 100%. It is
due to this work ethic that Dakota has performed well both academically and in shop.

Dakota is a polite and conscientious young gentleman who wants to excel and do well. He has shown self-
discipline and scholarship over the past three years in order to obtain his goals. Dakota will succeed wherever
he goes and in whatever he pursues.

I know Dakota will do very well at your school. He will work hard and strive to excel during his four years at
your university.
