Yousif, you had been watching the
other children playing the snakes and ladder game for a while. After a bit you came over to me and took my hand. You took me to the snakes and ladder play area on our playground making it obvious to me by your body language that you wanted to play this game. I helped you jump from square to square for a little while then you decided you could do it yourself. Your sharp eyes saw a stone on the game area so you picked it up and gave it to me. (I think you were making sure that no-one would get hurt by tripping on it or that you just knew that it didn’t belong there). After a short time Bissan decided that she would help you play the game and you forgot about me. You stayed playing this game for quite some time with her. I am loving watching you play independently and seeing you also having the confidence to ask for help from others. Lets keep encouraging you with many activities which foster this independence.
