HOW TO BUILD A MOTOR

A wire spins around a stack of magnets in salt water.
The magnet is creating a magnetic field horizontally, while the cricut is making another
magnetic field vertically. The two magnetic fields pull the copper wire from side to side
making it spin in a circle around the magnets.

TUTORIAL
1. We measured a plastic container on some wood, cut it and made a base. We then
attach two pieces of wood to make a structure to hold all the wire and everything
else.

2. We drilled a hole in the top piece of wood a hammered in a nail with about an
inch sticking out then we wrapped the wire around the nail with about 5 inches
left on each side then stuck one side through the hole drilled earlier and bended it
into a hook shape.

3. We used a chain of rings as an extension then took a long piece of copper and
hooked it onto it witch made it hang down into the container.

4. We took a piece of aluminum and hung it over the edge of the container then we
put a stack of magnets in the middle of the container.

5. Next we filled the container with 2 cups of warm water and two tablespoons of
salt.

6. We attached the magnet wire to the ends to a 9 volt battery then onto the loose
end of the copper wire, and the piece of aluminum.
