1. The students conducted an experiment to compare the microorganism communities that develop on potatoes and potato chips over 4 days.
2. They buried plastic cups containing alcohol near the potato and potato chips to collect organisms, then observed the organisms under a microscope and recorded data daily.
3. The results supported their hypothesis that more types of organisms prefer potatoes, as the food web diagram showed more organisms interacting in the potato environment than the potato chip environment.

Introduction: We experimented with potatoes and potato chips to see the difference between the communities of organisms. We observed the experimented for four days, collect the data, and use the dissecting microscope to see which one are have more organism. Problem: How does the community organisms difference between potato and potato chips? Hypothesis: The community organisms are prefer potatoes. Materials: ● Potato ● Potato Chips ● Alcohol ● 8 5ml plastic cups ● Beaker ● Dissecting Microscope ● Hand trowel procedure: 1. Get all the materials. 2. Find a place. 3. Put potato and potato chips on that spot that we found. 4. Dig four hole around the potato and potato chips. 5. Put 8 plastic cups in each hole. 6. Pour alcohol in the cups. 7. The next day to collect the old alcohol and pour the new alcohol in the cups. 8. Observed with dissecting microscope. 9. Collect data Stats: Potato chips: . Organisms Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 di fi

The Quotient of Similarity of potato and potato chips is:
Q=33.33 Food Web: conclusion The results supported the hypothesis that the communities of organisms are prefer potato. From the food web of potato, we can tell that more organisms prefer the potato over potato chips, but for the food web of potato chips it doesn’t have that much organism to eat it.
