I am interested in an elementary-level teaching position in your school district. I will be

graduating from Northern State University in May 2018. I also am currently student teaching at
McKinley Elementary here in Watertown. While attending Northern State University, I have had
numerous opportunities to work in many different grades. My experiences include: working one on
one with students, delivering whole group instruction, working in small groups, and working with
students with behaviors.

I was born and raised in the Watertown community and prefer to stay in this area. I would
love to teach in Watertown because of the passion that staff and administration shows for
students. Since starting my student teaching experience here in Watertown, I have felt very
welcomed. Everyone works together as a team to help students in every possible way. I feel
comfortable in this atmosphere and want to help students achieve their goals by meeting student’s
needs; taking each student and giving them all the opportunities to succeed.

For most of my life, I have been in a school setting and I enjoy what it offers children. My
true passion began when I started my job at Arrow Prep. I knew after working a few days at Arrow
Prep that teaching is what I wanted to do. This experience from being at the Arrow Prep program
has taught me so many different skills when it comes to working with children and helped me
realize my passion in life. I want to be able to help students succeed in any way that I can.

My goal is to take my passion in helping students and motivate them to succeed to the best
