Cromwell College

Cromwell College is a residential college for men and

women which is committed to providing a warm and
welcoming community. Cromwell is a wonderful place to
live while you learn and a great place to make life-long
friends. The College is affiliated with the Uniting Church
and conveniently located close to the Great Court, main
bus stop, and the central administration buildings of the
University. The location, convenience and friendliness of
Cromwell provide an excellent home base for students to
enter successfully into university life and beyond.

Cromwell pursues balance by encouraging academic,

spiritual, cultural and social maturity. It assumes full adult
behaviour as well as freedom and seeks applicants who
are prepared to accept full responsibility. To assist in this
process, Cromwell provides and trains senior residents for
leadership. They assist new students make the transition
from home to independent, adult living.
The College has an open, inviting environment and
modern facilities. It is a founding member of a group
of colleges (CITG) who have combined to provide
excellent IT services with internet access in every
room and shared laser-printing. There are phones
in every room and other facilities include a tennis/
basketball court, a large common room with full-size
billiard table, a beautiful chapel, a music practice
room and an entertainment room with large screen
TV, Video/DVD, Foxtel and surround sound system.

Cromwell has committed staff who place a high

value on service and who work hard to keep the
College in good order and who genuinely care for
the residents.

College life encourages strong academic

performance through mutual friendship
and support. In addition it provides
tutorial assistance, in-house computers
and printers, tutorial and meeting rooms.
Cromwell caters for just over 200 residents
from many backgrounds. It provides all
meals and many services to make Cromwell
a ‘home away from home’.

Ongoing Cromwell student residents may stay in vacation periods
for $55.00 per night.
If I want to leave early? Students sign a College contract that
commits them for the entire year. Fees are payable in full by
semester in advance. Students wishing to leave early may forfeit
all monies paid.
