Armenian Negation and Adverbs
Learning the Armenian Negation is very important because its structure is used in every day conversation. The
more you master it the more you get closer to mastering the Armenian language. But first we need to know what
the role of Negation is in the structure of the grammar in Armenian.
Armenian negation is the process that turns an affirmative statement (I am happy) into its opposite denial (I am
not happy).
Grammar Tips:
In Armenian, negation can be made simply by placing “չ” = "No" before the main verb. But sometimes a double
negative is required. “չ” = "No" is the most common negative.
Նրանք ոչինչ չունեն անելու: (they don't have anything to do – Double Negative).

from adjectives, by adding the suffixes –ական, որեն, բար, պես, ովին to the singular form of adjectives.
Examples:
However that’s not always the case. Some words are adverbs by nature. For example:
հիմա (now), իսկապես (really), and շուտով (soon) are all Armenian adverbs.
