examples that were relevant to the grade level. Student were excited while they were learning.

Lesson planning has improved throughout this placement. Kaitlynn has become more attentive to the various components of direct
instruction. She continues to expand her repertoire of strategies for differentiating instruction, or at least improving how she articulates
her plans for differentiating instruction. She is progressing well.

Kaitlynn is consistent overall in this area. Her strengths are in providing creative, hands-on, minds-on learning activities. She also
engaged learners through the use of graphic organizers which kept students focused and helped them to organize/process information.

Kaitlynn used anecdotal notes as well as benchmark assessment data to plan instruction. Kaitlynn also gathered assessment data from
the math program Ten Marks to assess student growth in regards to math performance. Kaitlynn was able to articulate in our
conferences how she used formal assessments data to plan for future instruction. We also discusssed that she will planned a pre-
assessment, instruction, and post-assessment scenario in upcoming weeks. I look forward to seeing her data chart from that instruction.
She is doing well in this area.

Kaitlynn has strong classroom management skills. She provides an enthusiastic style of teaching that helps to keep the children
engaged and excited about learning. Her demeanor with the children indicates that she truly enjoys working with them and they enjoy
interacting with her.

Kaitlynn has increasingly developed in this area and will continue to do so throughout her student teaching semester. During this
placement, she has learned the importance of documenting student progress in order to have concrete data to show student
performance and growth. I look forward to seeing her pre- and post-assessment results on her planned unit of instruction.
