Grading: Grades will be determined using the formula:

Quiz 1 (25%), Quiz 2 (25%), Final Exam (50%).

Important: final grades will be assigned with a curve that will not be determined before the
final exam.

Attendance: You are expected to attend every lecture and recitation session. Multiple
unexcused absences will be penalized in the final grade. In case you know that you will be
absent, please let me know so we can set up a meeting to discuss the material we covered
during your absence. Exam problems will strongly reflect material presented during lectures.

Electronic Devices: The use of personal electronic devices (cell phones, tablets,
computers...) is not allowed in the classroom. However, permission can be granted in case you
use such a device to take lecture notes.

Homework: Although homework will not be due, some problems from the following list will
be solved during lectures, recitation sessions or office hours. In case you need extra work for a
specific section, please meet me during my office hours or by appointment.
