SKILLS, ACTIVITIES & INTERESTS

Languages: I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I translate notes, letters, make phone calls,
translate to parents in meetings, and conferences at my campus.
Activities: Spanish Club and Student Council
 In High School I was part of the Spanish Club. The Spanish Club is an organization that enriches
knowledge of the Hispanic Culture on campus. This club is not only for Hispanic students or
students taking a Spanish class, but for anyone who would like to enhance their cultural
awareness. Another great aspect of this club is you get a chance to meet new people, make
friends, and learn a little Spanish too! The only requirement to join was to go to the meetings on
a regular basis and become involved in our activities.
 In High School I was also a member of the Student Council Club. The Student Council served to
engage us in learning about democracy and leadership, while being role models and
representatives for the student body. It worked as a partnership with students, faculty, and
administration through the sharing of ideas, interests and concerns. The council helped raise
funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects and school reform.
The council is made up of student body officers and class officers elected by the student body.
