Oxygen Analyzer

9.1 OXYGEN ANALYZER

The GENERON HP Nitrogen Generator is provided with a Fuel Cell type oxygen analyzer,
which is an integral part of the vent-and-shutdown control system.

9.2 CALIBRATION OF O2 ANALYZER

1. Supply calibration gas to the cabinet inlet.

2. Set 3-way valve (20-1) to “SPAN”. This allows the inlet calibration gas to flow through
the analyzer.

3. Adjust (FI 20-1) to a flow of 1 scfh and check that pressure reducing valve (PRV 20-1) is
set to 5 psig. Allow the meter reading to stabilize for several minutes.

4. To calibrate the O2 analyzer, see the oxygen analyzer manual.

5. Return 3-way valve (20-1) to “SAMPLE” position.

9.3 SET O2 ALARM POINT

To adjust the Oxygen alarm point:

1. See Setup Screen 2.

9.4 ROUTINE OPERATION OF O2 ANALYZER

Routine Operation of the analyzer includes regular calibrations and cell changes. The Fuel
cell has a nominal life of 0.5 - 1 year. Analyzer calibration should be performed every 4wo
weeks, or whenever abnormal performance is suspected. Check frequently, that the
pressure reducing valve (PRV-20-1) is set to 5 PSIG and the Flow Indicator to 1 SCFH. For
more details about the analyzer, refer to the analyzer instruction manual.
