Scott Fitzgerald Bio

F. Scott Fitzgerald was born September 24th in 1896, he was an American writer who became
well known and influential after his death. He is now one of the more well-known writers to come out of
the 20th century. Some of his popular works were The side of Paradise, Beautiful and Damned, and The
Great Gatsby. Fitzgerald not only wrote novels, but also many short stories like Babylon Revisited and
Winter Dreams. Fitzgerald married a woman by the name of Zelda Sayre and would have one daughter
with her Frances Scott Fitzgerald. He suffered from alcoholism staring from his college days and was
notoriously known for it. Fitzgerald also claimed to contract tuberculosis but may have been seen as a
cover up for his alcoholism. F. Scott Fitzgerald died from a heart attack only at age 44 but left a lasting
influence from his writing.
