Brainstorm with your group and draft an outline or insert a screenshot of a visual organizer with the main idea and
supporting points or subtopics presented in the article(s) selected in the space provided.

Most years humans have won against horses. Back in the old days people would chase after horses till they
would collapse. After a period of time a horse can run anymore it needs more energy and in these races there
normally is no stopping to get anything so horses need to be slow in the races well at least till the end.
Humans need energy to run but after we eat we are good for a long time and we don’t need much food to fill
us up. Most first place winners of these marathons are humans but horses not far behind.

Audience
Goal: Identify the audience you feel will benefit from your message (classmates, another grade level of
students, parents, community members, etc.)

Horses may be bigger and faster then humans but horses need lots of energy in a little time. Humans don’t
need to stop after a hour and get more energy. Slow wins the race.
