Interview with our Native Language Assistant

This year we have a native language assistant to help students improve

their English for 6 six hours a week. Let´s know more about our English
assistant!

 What´s your name?

o My name is Liz.
 How old are you?
o I am 27 years old.
 Where are you from?
o I am from Chicago in the United States.
 Have you got brothers and sisters?
o Yes, I do. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister.
 What are your hobbies?
o My hobbies are reading, playing the violin and going for
walks on the beach.
 Have you got any pets?
o Yes, I have 2 dogs that live in Chicago with my mom and
dad.
 Do you like living in Barcelona?
o Yes, I do. My favorite place is Park Guell and Montserrat.
 What´s your favorite food in Catalonia?
o My favorite food in Catalonia is crema Catalana and pa amb
tomaquet.
 Do you like working in Joan Salvat Papasseit?
o Yes, I do! It is a pleasure to work with all levels and
getting to know the teachers. I like working with the
students in small groups to practice dialogues, to play
games, etc.

 Let’s go to the Theatre
A theatre company called Look Out showed us three plays in English
during the first term: Round and Round the Garden, Santa’s Pants, A
Monkey’s Tale and The Lemon Thieves.

The students could follow the plot because they did several preparation
activities before the theatre group came. Children had fun watching the
plays because they could participate in the songs and interact with the fun
actors.

The English Day 2018

The students in 3 grade are going to participate in the English Day
in June. The English Day includes different schools from Santa Coloma, so
the pupils will interact with students from other schools. They are going to
do different oral games to review vocabulary they have learned during the
year.
